Open House: Meatball Recipe

I have a recipe to share.  My mom's simple & delicious meatball recipe.  The meatballs were a huge hit at the event.  The best part is, we were able to fix a lot of them at one time.  The recipe below is for 80 meatballs--we made 160.  A huge thanks to my mom!

Some of the food out on the table and ready to eat
A close up look at the meatballs--delicious!

2 12 oz jars Heinz chili sauce
1 32 oz jar grape jelly
1 bag meatballs (appx 80 in a bag)

Bake frozen meatballs for 20-25 minutes at 350/375 depending on the oven.  Put chili sauce and jelly in a large pot, heat until jelly is melted and sauce is smooth, stirring often. Add meatballs; simmer for 3 hours.  Transfer meatballs to a crockpot to stay warm.

  1. This is awesome. I was cracking up as I read it because that's pretty much my " recipe " too. A lot of my friends cook the meatballs from scratch but they just taste better frozen. I use plum sauce. Never thought about the grape jelly idea but I'm going to try this mix. Thanks for linking up!!

  2. I'm all about easy, and this looks like a delicious recipe that's super simple to prepare. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love meatballs and needed a recipe for my fav things party on Friday. THanks for sharing:)

  4. Delish! Perfect for enetertaining!! *bookmarked*
