Happy Friday: Thank You!

Typically, I post something funny and light on Fridays to help everyone celebrate the weekend.  Today, I want to post something that will help us remember why most of us are getting a long weekend and say 'thank you' to all of our veterans!


I come from a very large military family.  It began with my grandfather who served in the South Pacific in World War II--he experienced the first racially integrated military.  My mom, my dad, several uncles, an aunt, my sisters, my brother, my husband, myself, and several brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law have served our country in the armed forces.  I have lost too many friends along the way and I will never forget the ultimate sacrifice they made.

So to those who came before, alongside, and after me--THANK YOU!  If you know a veteran, thank them for their service.
