Well, my little man Trey has definitely been keeping me busy. I seriously can't believe how quickly he's growing and developing. He's a few days shy of two months and he amazes me each day. Today, I'm amazed by how independent he's becoming. I know, I know...a two month old can't be that independent.
No, Trey is not crawling down to the car to go for an afternoon spin or anything, but he's learning to play on his own and is content for longer periods of time. When he woke up from his nap this afternoon, I had no idea he was even awake until I walked by him and saw him with his eyes open, staring at the ceiling fan fully content. He stayed there for about 15 minutes just hanging out on his own....I'm amazed (and thankful)!!
And I have to give a shout out to a couple family members. While my mom was here helping me out after Trey's arrival (thank God for moms!), she kept telling me I needed to get a mobile for Trey but I kept putting it off. Honestly, I delayed because I thought of all the other cool things Trey has to look at and play with. Mobiles are so outdated, right??....wrong! Man, I'm glad my brother and his wife bought this cool mobile (see pictures below) for Trey.
He loves it and it keeps him occupied long enough for me to get a few things done around the house. Thanks, again, Mom, Dennis & Sara!
Now, I just need to figure out how to get him to last a little longer when we go on our walks! Right now, we're up to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes he just isn't having it anymore. Anyone have any suggestions?
