And the list of 5 things you must do in Nepal continues... If you missed the first part, you can catch up here.
Number 2: Explore KathmanduExploring Kathmandu, the capital, is a must if you decide to visit Nepal. When we arrived in Kathmandu, we were amazed by how sprawling it is. Surrounded by mountains and sitting at an altitude of 1,336m above sea level, Kathmandu is home to many ancient towns and monuments. The majority of the population are Hindi; Buddhists are a close second. Consequently, there are approximately 2,000 temples and shrines in the bustling city.
Scott and I had the chance to spend a day exploring Kathmandu with a personal driver/tour guide provided by Good Vibe Adventure. Here are some highlights of our Kathmandu tour and places for you to check out:

Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square, the plaza in front of the old royal palace of Kathmandu Kingdom, is filled with beautiful architecture. Walking around here made me feel like I was in a movie--it was surreal. This durbar square is one of three royal palace squares in the Kathmandu Valley and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
